I have a 1999 F450 with 7.3 I haul a cat 299d xhp with mulcher with, I'm having problems when stopping the truck pulls to the driver and passenger when braking. The harder you brake the worse the pulling gets, but when I'm not hauling anything it doesn't do it. The other day I was stopping at a red light with my normal load and when I hit the brakes it pulled me over into the turn lane then back into the lane I was in, has anyoneever had this problem? If so what did you have the do to fix? I've changed the brake pads and checked all the joints they all seemed tight
No its not the trailier i've been pulling the same trailier with my duremax since the 450 started pulling side to side, doesnt do it with the duremax. I also have hauled my cattle trailer with the 450 an with a load it does the same thing with the cattle trailer.
Sounds like one side of the caliper is sticking. My 2001 is doing the same thing. Got home this weekend after pulling a load and my passenger side front tire brake was pretty hot. Time to repair the caliper pins again...
