Class V Titan Tri-Ball won't fit??
I got a '13 350 with Class V receiver.. It came with the sleeve (adapter) but I sometimes haul a heavy bumper pull feed trailer (2 5/16) so I went ahead and ordered the Class V tri-ball (Reece part#45325) from auto anything.
I got it and it won't go into Ford's receiver - I put some oil on it - beat it in partially with a baby sledge... Pulled it out --- Got a drill with wire brush and knocked off some of the paint - oiled it again and got it in a little further - maybe 3-4 inches....total ..
This week - plan on putting the grinder brush to it and cleaning to bare metal.. I have noticed some rust cancer under the paint -
I beat it up too much to send it back - But - has anyone seen this? does Reece just paint over all rust, weld slag, etc??? Also one of the holes for the cross pin had the disc half knocked out - I can drill that out the rest of the way....
Any clues??
Ford's Class V not standard maybe ??
Any help, comments, suggestions appreciated...

The short answer is yes, many class V shanks won't fit the Ford reciever. If you look on Etrailer.com, almost all the class V stuff is listed as not fitting 2011 up superduty. Pretty stupid on Ford's part. Some shanks will fit however to to manufacturing tolerances. There was a thread in the 6.7 section about bent hitch pins that has a lot of info on the Ford class V.
I have a hollow shank 2.5 drawbar that I borrowed from my brother to try out. It fits in the tube with no issues, but you have to lift the shank to get the pin to go through, the same issue I have with all my 2" stuff and the adapter. This allows the pin to actually carry tongue weight, instead of just holding the shank in. I almost think the hole is drilled wrong in the reciever tube (too high). I have been too busy to get to measuring it, but I need to get it resolved before I use it for any weight. So far I have yet to use the reciever, as my only current trailer is a gooseneck.
