PLEASE HELP 99 F550 REAL AXEL
#16
Well , might not help , but I have seen handeling problems on many dual rear wheel trucks . Many times it is caused by tire diameter differenceas side to side . If you have one or two new tires on one side , and worn or different size tires on the other , That will cause handeling issues . Just a thought , I have seen .
The tires all 4 on the rear are new. We took to ford dealer to have it looked at and they said nothing is wrong, but I am telling you it never felt like this before. It just seems the rear end moves way to much when driving. I did replace the shocks all the way around and that didn't help. Someone suggested that the shocks might not be big enough for the truck. So I am going to replace the back end shocks with super heavy duty ones and see if that helps any. I was playing around with the bushings on the leaf springs and one side seamed to move rather a little bit more then the other side. That would cause it to do what I am saying wouldn't it?

Another question. Had then check why the ABS light was on and they said it was the rear sensor the goes on top of the axel. So I replaced it and the code still is on. But when I hook up the scan gauge 2 it says no codes found. I did a clear and it still shows. Any idea why it would still be coming on?
