The bolts that hold the vacuum pump on the bracket will not come all the way out with the pulley in place. They will thread all the way out, but you cannot get them in or out with the pulley in place.. So when you put the new pulley on the pump, make sure the bolts are in the holes on the pump. I think that one of the bolts can come out with the pulley on, but I always put all of them in the pump before putting the pulley back on.

I got a loaner puller/installer tool kit from O'reily's. And I did notice that all 3 bolts needed to be in the pump before I put the pulley on even though they came out with the broken pulley. So I avoided that obstacle.

The tool really makes this job easy. It took about an hour to complete. So I saved $100 bucks and it only cost me maybe 30 minutes of extra work. Good call Travis!

The PS pump must have been over filled, because I didn't have to add any to it. Do these PS pumps run on ATF?

Yup, they take ATF. The caps on these pumps suck from the get go and I'm not surprised everytime one of mine blows off. The cap on my PSD blows off once a year and the cap on my F-150 blew off once when I accidentally forgot to set up the rev limiter and over revved it while testing it in the mud.
