Well good deal that you got back on the road. What kind of work do you do? Sorry getting off topic. I've been trying to find answers about the wheel but am mostly finding arguments about who's is better or who copied who and no data. So now I'm curious about the changing of the outlet and if that could change the sound to the level that you have. Anyway trying to keep this towards the top.

Dave I.doubt the HFO would make it louder. It is on the exhaust side and I def hear it from the intake side. Thanks for searching for answers.

I have a remodeling business but have been doing a lot of roofing lately due to the storms. I just finished the last one that I will be doing the labor on. It is too hot for white boys. No offense to the darker skinned Roofers, they just handle the heat better.

Well Jason, I guess you're the only one with the 6/6 wheel so no comparison on noise. You gonna leave it in?

Still not real sure. I might put the WW back in and see if I can tell a difference in performance. If I cant then there is no point in keeping it.

There is a guy on here that lives down in Norman. Maybe we will all get lunch sometime or something.

Hello JT250, fellow Okie here from Tulsa. Did you ever get an answer on your 6/6 question? I spoke with Clay on 7/2 about a some items I want to order and the wheel is one of them. I'm a stock truck but looking to help it along where I can. Really wish more FTE's were in Tulsa...

Be said he didn't have a concrete answer. I don't think they did any testing while towing or with a more open style filter. I have the AFE II which has a housing but not totally enclosed. I imagine with a stock filter or an AIS it would be fine. When I pull my small trailer the radio pretty much drowns it out. But anything bigger still has a loud whistle. I am not sure its worth the money.

I have the 38R and considered doing the billet wheel upgrade. I was hoping the modern billet blade design would take away some of the whine the cast wheel has. Of the two reviews I've read neither mentioned it being any quieter, just a different tone. I had to build the sheet metal enclosure for my open element filter because it was too loud. One of the biggest things noted was that they move more air at low speed. If you had sluggish spool up or smokey low speed fueling this help out considerably...

Kinda sounds just like my WW, which I would believe is normal.
