2008 f150 window goes down but not up

2008 crew cab - passenger front window will not respond at all from master driver side switch. from the passenger side switch it goes down only. I purchased new regulator/motor assembly on advise from an experienced mechanic and a service manager from a Ford dealership. The new motor does the same thing - down but not up and only from the passenger switch. An Autozone manager said that was wrong advise. that if the motor went in one direction it was fine and it was a switch problem. I purchased a new main driver side master switch....same problem. I sure need help
Thanks,

The problem looks to be that you're not getting power to the window motor to raise the window. First thing would be to use a voltage light or multimeter to check the leades going into the window motor and work backward to the passenger door switch then to the master switch to see where the failure is. Could be a broken wire some where along the way.

Thanks,
psheridan,

Did you find the solution the your problem with the power window?

I have basically the same issue. The rear drivers side window won't respond at all to the master drivers switch and will only go down with the rear door switch. I have 12V when hitting the down and zero when hitting up. The master switch gives no voltage in either direction.

Thanks

Window Switch

I've now had 3 master window switches in my truck. First one was bad at 2 years, 2d one was another year or so later. On the 3d one right now and it's still working. I now have a rear window switch that looks like it's going bad also, will roll the window down but not up yet works fine from the master switch.

Yeah I replaced the master switch and I tried using another rear window switch but neither worked.

I thought maybe there is a known connection issue somewhere that would make my trouble shooting easier.

It's all in the switch

Mine did the same. The switches have points in them. I took the rear door switch apart and filed the points and it worked for a year. Then it quit again! The switch is like 60.00 to replace. I think it happens from people holding down the switch after the window is up or kids playing. On mine the master switch works it fine. If it doesn't you have big problems.

I just had this happen in my 04 crew, the passenger rear window would go down but not up, so I took apart the drivers side master switches and cleaned all the contacts and boom it all works again.
