Injectors

Getting ready to do injectors or sell my truck. I know I can't get what I've got tied up in it. And I think it needs a set of injectors. Just doesn't tow like I think it should.

Here is what I'm thinking.

Stage 1s: a retune on my chip and I'm good to go. I have an intercooler i will drop in too.

Stage 1.5: same as above but will the stock Turbo hang? I know a bigger Turbo is always better. But just not in the budget right now.

Stage 2s: tuned a little light and just stay out if the gogo peddle and an s366 kit from irate later on.

250cc hybrids: tuned way down and an s468 kit when the budget allows.

Yes I would love a 500 plus HP truck. But I don't see it happening any time soon. I'm closing on a house in the next week and its going to free up just a touch of money. Just enough for injectors for now. I've already done all the other supporting mods.

I'm thinking stage 1s or 1.5s. But if I ever have to replace the Turbo. Then I'd want bigger injectors to hang with the bigger Turbo.

I two a 6x12 enclosed trailer ever week loaded with mowing equipment around 3-5k lbs depending on what all is in it. I do tow heavy every now and then but not to often.

All mods in signature if it shows up. Posting from my phone.

It really depends on your end goal. I'm currently running 2's with a stock turbo, you just have to be mindful of how hard you push the stocker. It can still last a long time if you're not pushing it much past 30psi for extended amounts of time. I can't see your mods, so ill throw this out there. With anything larger than stage 1's, I'd suggest T500 and e fuel. The stock pumps have a hard time keeping up with what tuning calls for on a modded truck. I'm sure you could get away with the stockers, but is it worth it if you're already spending a bunch of dough?

Congratulations on the new house!

It all depends what you want Daniel. I won't go bigger than the stage ones I have as they suit my needs just fine.

I think stage 1s would suit me fine and do everything I need. But the way I'm thinking is if I can get more for the money then it seems to be the better choice. But if the more, will cost me more money quicker then I don't think its an option right now for me.

But if Stage 2s will still do just as good as stage 1s will with the stock turbo and have more play in the later on. Then that is the route I'd want to go.

Get the 2's if you want to go bigger turbo. Just be mindful of them.

From what all I've read is the two's will run a little hotter. Seems to be holding true with the comparison between mine and Glenn's truck right now. With 2's you'd have more options on turbo upgrade, but with ones the S366 works real good though. The stock turbo will last a long time with ones, less with 2's. Both would be better with an upgraded turbo though.

Ones with supporting mods will get you close to 400hp, two's maybe 450 or so with good tuning. Now that I've upgraded my turbo, I need to get head studs, pushrods, and springs too. The S366 hits 40lbs of boost on mine. Stock turbo and ones is a good combo, I ran it for a while, but if you tow heavy it will push the limits of the stock turbo.

So 2s it is then. Guess I just need to close on this house and go from there. Anyone have a set of cores I could borrow?
