Looking for a 300 inline and a 3 speed

I'm looking for a running 300 inline and a 3 speed column shift trans. If you have one and willing to sell it PM me. It is going in a 1965 f100 so I would like one that doesn't have an egr valve or a smog system year range is 65 to 72 ( I believe ) I'm also in need of a three speed not sure of the year range but guessing 65 to 72 as well. I live in Orange County so any lead on one will be appreciated.

Thanks

John

You'll need to find a 1965 or 1966 F100 2WD donor truck 240/300 I-6 w/a 3 speed, because the shift rods and etc are different after 1966, plus you will need to find additional parts to install both.

Best place to look is at pick-a-part yards, Ecology Auto Wrecking and etc.

EGR introduced in 1974 and 1966/67, early 1968 F100's sold new in CA came with T/E - Thermactor Emission (smog pump).

Thanks, are there casting numbers on the trans that indicate that year range? Or something on it to make it easy to identify to the untrained eye.

The trans itself is not the problem, the linkage that attaches to it, then to the selector levers on the column is, as they are 1965/66 F100 2WD only.

Any 3.03 3 speed manual all syncro trans from 1965 thru 1986 can be used, as long as you use the 240/300 specific bellhousing.
