I thought the carpet color was a due to illness; maybe some rotgut and a dozen avocados. I do like the sound of that Lincoln 302 though; makes my regular Ford 302 sound pathetic.
I'm relatively new to all of this, but it seems from this truck for sale and others I've seen advertised, "rat rod" on craigslist translates to "a bunch of stuff thrown together as ugly as possible"?

Sadly that does seem to be the case nowadays. People will paint anything flat black, and paint the wheels either red or green and instantly call it a 'rat rod'.
It never ceases to amaze me the totally tacky stuff people do to vehicles out there...this one being
a prime example. Anyone who does that to a slick needs special help.

Unfortunately there are folks out there that need to learn about "Rat Rods"
There are some uniquely talented builders that take pride in their work when it comes to "Rat Rods." The builders I've seen and talked to get mad because some lame SOB has jumped on the "Rat Rod" wagon to try and sell his/hers POS.
Take a good look at the Real "Rat Rod" Builders, you'd be equally impressed with their work.
When speaking of "Rat Rods" bash the lousy SOB for using that term. That's the idiot who's trying to sell a POS to another unsuspecting idiot.
Real "Rat Rods" are in a class all their own and should be respected as such.
Before any of you decide to go against what I have typed here, look into some real "Rat Rods" and tell me if you have the talent to build a True "Rat Rod"
If so let's see what you got!!!
I've seen a lot of trucks considered daily drivers by their owners, (in the 61-66 years), that I would not touch nor attempt to drive. This is true by reading some of the posts on here.
I pull parts from wrecking yards on a regular basis, and some of the excrement I've seen verifies that some of the owners of 61-66 have no clue or room to talk.
Just me being real.
