New 2013 Owner with a few quesitons..

The other week I bought a 2013 black F-350 Super Duty Dually with the Ranchero shocks/susp package/fifth wheel, fully loaded.. etc etc..

Anyways, knowing a few things about turbocharged vehicles in general I went ahead and put an intake and MBRP DPF back exhaust on the truck along with an H&S XRT Pro tuner set on street..

Now, two things, does the turbocharger have a silencer ring in it or am I crazy? and if so can I just pop it off with no problems? I've had a few turbo cars running alot less boost and they are 10x louder than this thing.. Second, having purchased the extended warranty do you think they'll care with me being in a state with no emissions that I replace the DPF with a delete?

Dpf delete will get you a lot more turbo whistle, I straight piped mine and the whistle is awesome. I would just ask your dealer. Apparently they can tell if you have tuned your truck, so really you may as well delete it.

Really? Do they actually look if the tune has been modified during basic maintenance though? The truck is an F-450 btw, I don't know why I said 350. Also, do you know if the turbo's actually have silencers? Cause if that's the case I can remove them and probably still keep my warranty.

I'm not 100%. I have heard that quite a few times. Regular maintence I'm sure they wouldn't look. I just had my truck in at the shop and they didnt say a thing, it depends on the dealer I think.

Dude I'm soory to say this but I think your Warrenty is no good now...... Once you put a tuner on they can tell even if you put it back to stock settings. Hopefully your dealer doesnt care or you know someone there that will let it go.

Well, I've known the service manager at this dealer for nine years, I honestly don't think he's going to care in a state with zero emissions checks if I have a full exhaust. I've had a full exhaust on nearly every new vehicle I've purchased and the warranty has never been voided.

I honestly don't give a damn how fast the truck is, I've just heard nightmares about the DPF with gas mileage, I've even had the truck go into closed loop while hauling while in regen. Can't be towing a 30 foot trailer with a Porsche or a Lamborghini for a dealer and the truck go in to 'slack *** bitch' mode in the middle of traffic and have to deal with till it finishes whatever the hell it's doing down there in that massive useless pipe. For christ sake it's soot, right? It falls back to earth, it's like these douchebags eventually want you to be able to hold your mouth over an exhaust pipe for fresh air.

Anyway, thanks for the input.
