polishing aluminum wheels!

i posted a thread in the 7.3 forum a few days ago about polishing aluminum wheels, and i just finished up yesterday and thought that i would post the link here as well. it has a write-up on the method that i used and all supplies needed to do the job! before and after pic. are on pg. 2

Nice man! Those look awesome! I REALLY need to get mine done also. Mine look 10x worse than yours before you did the job. I'm hoping when I get my truck detailed by the local Ford dealership that they'll do the job. They usually charge people $150-$200 for a complete detail. I know a guy there and he said he'd have it done for $50 for me.

Nice work Mitch. I started cleaning my wife's 20" Chrome rims for her Edge on Thursday. I didn't do a very good job at keeping them clean last year. I finished 2 of them. I will post up pics when I get a chance.

thanks guys! it really wasnt that bad of a job just took a lot of time and patience. what i dont know about is if i should put clearcoat back on them?

thanks guys! i did a little more touching up over the weekend with some undercoat on the frame, if your interested in seeing how it turned out let me know and ill post up pic. in case anybody was wondering about doing the same thing.
