Any opinions on Herculiner?

Thinking about rolling in bedliner for the cab floor of my truck. Looking at herculiner. Anything I should know? Could I get the same quality for less $$?

The same quality as what?

But if going DIY, also consider:
Al's Liner. DIY Truck Bed Liners!
Bed Liner Paint, Do It Yourself Bed Liner, Roll On Bed Liner, or U-Pol Raptor Spray-On Truck Bed Liner Kit - TP Tools & Equipment

Personally, I would avoid the roll-on bedliner stuff and buck up for the durability, quality, and mil-thickness of Line-X.

if you have a local rhino dealer its not much to get your bed sprayed. my dad got his 08 chevys bed sprayed for a few hundred dollars but that was a few years ago.

I used Herculiner back in 99. What I found was the material is thin unless you apply multiple coats. It also has chunks of stuff in it so the finish isn't smooth like spray in liners. Looked like 40 grit when it was done.

Ive used the Hurculiner in a aeresol can and was pleased with the results. Just remember that a good prep job can make damn near anything look good.

prep work is everything but! read the directions and scuff!

If using herculiner in a high usage area it will come off. If used in floor board area need to have a floormat to help keep from boots rubbing off. decent stuff but not as good as rhino liner or similar products of this type. what is your application and where? I bought the gallon jug kit many yrs ago and still have some on my truck but some has come off. prep work, believe it has to be 75 degrees or better when using. it can work but will need to apply several times like mentioned earlier. it can work but and just depends on what your trying to do.

I'm currently considering options for the flooring in my truck. I need it to be pretty durable. I also have basically 0$. Can't afford line-x or rhino lining. I'm wondering what will be most durable on a low budget. It's a 75 with a super cab. I might just use a can of black Rustoleum paint I already have.

This may be a dumb idea but Home Wreckers Depot has Rustolium Leak Sealer for about $10 a can. That stuff is rubber spray on Aerosol. and you can put it on in coats. Its made for roofs and gutters. Its pretty tough but if you sprinkle on some sand it would be lots tougher. It seems to have a long drying time though, before its fully cured like 48 hrs.

Any way just a SWAG Idea. Or you could always try Zolotone.

Best of luck.

Was it the quart sized can? What size of cab did you have? Thanks for the info.

Yes it was the quart size and I have a regular cab. Honestly in my opinion this stuff takes two coats but the second coat covers really well

You think there was enough left for a super cab? So I guess about 1/3 of a can?

It would be close but you can always skip the second coat in the no traffic areas like under the seat. That should make it go a little further
