Are ceramic headers a good buy

Do ceramic headers really run cooler and by how much.I am in the market for a set but need first hand info.

I've got them on my 95 and I don't know if they run cooler but I like the color and the fact they won't rust or discolor unless you chip the coating. I would do it again.

Can you show pictures underneath? i would love to see this modification on my 1994 F150 with 5.8L FI Windsor.

I've been pricing headers and noticed the already coated ones you buy don't appear to have a great coating warranty. I haven't done any exact pricing but it looks like I'd be better off buying uncoated and then getting the coating done at Jet-Hot where I can get a lifetime warranty.
The precoated ones seem to be anywhere from 90 days to 2 or 3 years.

Most ceramic coated ones you buy are simply coated in a ceramic based paint. To actually get them ceramic coated, you need to spend some money. Real ceramic coating does work and holds up great. Ceramic based paint, lets just say its bit on the thin side.
