That's my biggest issue with this....

Ok so Jake says it won't need a gate. Cool deal. It'll spool fast as hell and run pretty good, but my problem is still the sled pulling, even if it is once or twice a year. I don't have an issue with the setup at all if you take the sled pulling out of the picture. Hell as long as you can get a good spin out at the end of every pull I have no problem with it then either.. It's the sudden stop of the tires under load and stall of the turbo I don't like.

The only reason hybrids were suggested with the S400s is to bring daily drivability up to where the S300 would be with the smaller injectors as far as spool goes. The S400 spools fine with that injector setup, but if you want it to spool closer to everyones S300s, a bigger injector is needed. Since you obviously want to just run the S366 and 180/100s, do it. It will run good, but I will caution you to make sure you don't surge the turbo on the pulling track.

Okay i will certainly take caution to that. Thanks again for all the help. I think i got all my questions answered and a clearer picture of what is needed. It will be a while before any of this work takes place so i definitely have the time to think about this.

Feedback on how they will run?

If you have a technical question the guys in the 99-03 7.3 section will probably be able to help you better. Good guys over there.

That setup will run just fine for towing and daily driving duty. Should be about 450-470hp in a race tune.

I just subscribed to this. Though I will not be sled pulling, I will be towing and wanting a more user friendly daily driver. Trying to keep Travis from having to repeat himself..LOL

Lol. Just let me know when you're ready and what you want the truck to do. Maybe next time you come down we should hook the SD onto something heavy and see how you like the setup going into it.

I am definitely down for that. We're already trying to figure out our next trip dates. Hopefully I'll be ready sooner than later.

I'm not sure if Aaron has gotten much done on his truck, I haven't talked to him lately. I know Rob got his stage 2's in though and we haven't heard about that.

I'll shoot them some texts tomorrow and see if we can get a rundown.

Byron, we should try and set up a cali meeting sometime in a few months. Aaron and Rob are both central cal area. Either that or you could all come up here .

Sorry y'all i have been bery absent from this place lately!!

But anyways— I haven't gotta a damn thing done towards go fast parts. The truck that this plan was for is gone now though. I sold the ECSB for a CCSB... And like always i got my virgin truck so i started where i should have with some 06 axles. If anyone wants ti see the truck check it out on Instagram @AaronBlacktruck

As for this truck, I'm going with a JohnWoods tranny, 238/100 and an S468 (and of course all the little parts) hopefully i can have it done with in a year if funds go accordingly.
