Super Duty now has heavy duty work

Just traded our 2010 Keystone Outback fiver for '09 Carriage Cameo 35SB3. Went from low-end to high class in one leap. One owner, looks barely used, roof was excellent, no signs of water damage, common wear & tear was next to zero including the carpet & furniture. Immaculate condition inside and out. Everyone (non sales folks) I spoke with said it’s a dreamboat and few can compare to it. I'll spend weeks just learning all the new features I've never had before.

Got a new Husky 26K hitch along with the MOR/ryde pin box. Truck pulled it like a champ but certainly knew something heavy was back there. Maintained 55mph going up a long curvy 6% grade. The size of this monster really didn't hit me until I had it in our backyard.

Spent the day washing the roof, then the outside, and cleaned all the seals, cleaned the inside but was already quite clean, and lastly shampoo the carpets. Wow, I'm dead tired.

Best I have for now is some crappy cell phone pics.

Beautiful rig! Glad you are pulling it with a 350. Both should serve you well for years to come.

Very nice !! Congrats.
Hope you plan on using that thing! We used to pull our trailer out on average 18 times a year, now its dropped down to about 12, but I'm hoping to up that back up after summer.

I find this the best way to reduce fuel economy and to properly work these trucks.

I'm not retired, but we do 4 weeks continuous RV'ing each summer. I don't call it camping anymore because it's hard to say we are roughing it when we haul our unit behind us..

And people look at us funny when we say we are going "camping" when they see the house we are hauling. My wife just likes all the luxuries of home when we travel - I tented when I was young - I'm too old for that crap now!!

Looks similar to our Prarie Schooner - slides in the same place, looks like the interior arraingment is reversed from ours. Ours weighs 14.5K max, tows nicely with our '08 F350 w/V10. Lived in ours for 3 months while renovating our current house.

On a side note, always keep good tires on that 5er. I would really hate to see the side have to be repaired on such a great unit.
On another note: Now you've got me wanting a 6.7L! Can I tell my wife it's your fault???

Great looking rig and 5er you got there. I have been trying to convince the wife that we need a new TT but no luck thus far! Have fun this summer.

That's a nice rig! We've used ours 3 times so far this summer and we're going to use it the weekend of July 4th. After that weekend it will probably be the end of our summer camping. Toooo hot in Texas for that especially with a 3 yr old and 1 yr old. We spend the heat of the day inside watching kid movies/cartoons and navigating around toys.

Side note: Just because my "tent" is on wheels, has 4 walls, and the luxuries of home doesn't mean it isn't camping. It's still a lot of work to get ready, set up shop, break it all down, and clean it all up when you get home!

Congratulations on your new Cameo. It sure is a nice looking unit. We bought a new 2004 Cameo and had a great time using it vacationing in the Southwest.
