Got a radiator

Got this radiator off e-bay, It's a new Champion, 2-row, 1970 Mopar, 22" core. Got it for $100 shipped.

Just had to trim the flange a little and drill 4 mounting holes, easy-peasy.
I will probably go with an electric fan and try to adapt the original shroud. Also got the driveshaft in and am just about done with the brakelines.

Nice score on the rad. I ended up getting the Champion that was made for the F1 with a Chev V8 new through The Cooling Pro's on Ebay. It was a nightmare - First they lost my order. After a week, I sent a message asking for a delivery date and got the standard "congratulations on your winning bid", which told me they lost my order until I contacted them. A week and a half later, I received the radiator. Unfortunately, it was the wrong one in the right box. Sent them a message and they shipped out the correct one that day and just asked that I ship back the original and they would refund my shipping on the wrong one. Received the new one and it fit fine. Three weeks later and several unanswered emails, I still hadn't got my shipping refunded. Finally contacted Champion directly and they said they would refund it the next day. A week later I called back and asked status, and they said they lost the processing, and would refund that day, which they did.

Overall, unhappy with the process but happy to finally have a functoning cooling system. Sorry for the rant. Congrats on the rad at a great price. Do you have the engine running yet?

exactly what I plan to do. go all aluminum in the stock support and run an electric fan. almost no spare room with the 302 v8.

In the pic the radiator is up in the 6 cylinder position, with the electric fan I may be able to move it back to the v8 spot.

my core support was in the middle of 3 sets of holes (inner fenders) and it was with a flat 6 when I got it. the center position is where it will go back. the other two sets of holes either had no markings of being bolted up to (sat lower, and forward of the options, did not look like it would mount up without the fenders being bent back out) and the third option was too close to the engine. i deleted the stock fan setup and the power steering hoses had to be bent inward to clear. fun times!

Haven't fired the engine yet. I've rebuilt the carb, new distributor, fuel pump, alternator and starter. Guess I need to set up a little basic wiring and try it out. It had been rebuilt when I got it from a neighbor but it hasn't run in about 15 years. I'll probably finish the exhaust and get the transmission cooler plumbed before I get it going.

Sounds about like what I went through (66 289 w/ C4). No idea how long the engine sat outside uncovered(at least there was an air cleaner sitting loosely on it for at least 2 years). I ended up swapping in an Edelbrock Performer manifold and carb, fuel pump, starter, and an HEI distributor. Serviced the engine and trans, fit the rad, and fired right up (did prime the oil pump before dropping in the new dizzy and adjusted the valves). It was a good feeling to see 45 lbs of oil pressure when warmed up.

Good luck on yours. Keep us posted on the progress.

It shows Challenger , Cuda, Satellite etc. Champion number is EC2375.
It was very easy to install, had to trim the bottom of the flange to match the curve on the radiator support then drill the mounting holes.

If you are installing an electric fan, why not lose the mechanical fan and shroud? Jag

I haven't decided completely on which way to go on the fan. I already had the mechanical one on there and was just checking to see how everything lined up. I may adapt the original shroud to fit and use the mechanical or do away with it and use an electric.
