Here's my smokey diesel fridge truck hooked up to my recent project...A pig roaster built from an old fuel storage tank. While our main business is buliding cabinets , doors and furniture from old salvaged lumber and beams, this client wanted to reproduce the pig roaster their family has been borrowing from us for the past 3 years. I got to cut and weld for the past week, while my employee Danny prepared parts for 27 doors we have to deliver by the end of June. The tools, frying pans etc are a counterbalance so the steel lid isn't so hard to lift and also doesn't shut with a bang. Just had to share with my friends........
Now that's one dandy fine Rat Rod Roaster!!! Is that one staying on island? Ya know, had that been around waaaaay back in the day.....there probably wouldn't have been a Pig War around here.....just a thought. Damn fine job ya did there Garry!
Thanks guys.... Was really fun doing something different for work. It's heading for Deer Harbor on the more 'upscale side' of the island. I sent some photos and asked if they wanted it painted bbq black, but the reply was immediate..... Don't touch a thing, we love the patina.
