Need Help ... 2013 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 with 6.2L

I bought a 2013 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab Pickup with the 6.2L engine ... From what I was told this is the first year to offer this motor in the XLT model ....

I want to do some up-grades ... Winch ( winch mount ) , cold air intake , headers and 3 inch exhaust ....

I contacted Mile Marker in March and they said no problem on the winch mount ... after 3 months they emailed me and said NO , not at this time ...

Long story short .... I can't find anyone that is making a Winch mount , Headers , or Cold Air Intake for my truck with the 6.2L motor .... HELP !!! Anyone know of anybody making any of this stuff ??? I hit the wall ...

Thanks.... Doug

Welcome to FTE!!

Try this, post your question here as well: 6.2L V8 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums and see if you get any bites.

The 6.2L has been offered in certain F-150's since 2011 and is the base engine in the Superduty. I'm sure someone is producing aftermarket products for your truck.

I don't know about winches, but there are several CAI manufacturers with products for the 6.2 application (Roush, Volant, K&N, etc.).

There are a few companies who make headers and/or full exhaust too!

The 6.2L has been available in certain F-150 trim levels since 2011. It's not real heavily employed by the F-150, something to do with CAFE standards and initial cost. Great motor though.

Check this out:

he 6.2 L (379 cu in) V8 is the main variant of the Boss engine. The V8 shares design similarities with the Modular engine family such as a deep-skirt block with cross-bolted main caps, crankshaft driven gerotor oil pump, overhead camshaft valve train arrangement, and bellhousing bolt pattern. In particular, the 6.2 L V8 features a 2-valve per cylinder SOHC valve train with roller-rocker shafts and two spark plugs per cylinder as well as dual-equal variable cam timing. The single most significant departure that the Boss engines make from earlier Modular engines is that they have much wider 4.53 in (115 mm) bore spacing (compared to the Modular's 3.937 in (100.0 mm)), allowing for the use of larger bore diameters and valves. The 6.2 L V8 has a bore diameter of 4.015 in (102.0 mm) with a 3.74 in (95 mm) stroke. The 6.2 L V8 has lightweight aluminum cylinder heads and pistons but makes use of a cast iron cylinder block for extra durability since most applications for the engine will be trucks.[2]
The 6.2 L V8 went into production in early 2010 and debuted in the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor as a late-availability option. A limited edition version of the Raptor from Ford Racing called the Raptor XT features a high output version of the 6.2 L V8 with approximately 500 horsepower (370 kW).[3] For the 2011 model year, the 6.2 L V8 was introduced in Ford's Super Duty pickups as a replacement for both the 5.4 L Triton V8 and the 6.8 L Triton V10 and in the F-150 as the premium engine option, though it is not available in all configurations.[2]
Applications for the 16-valve SOHC VCT 6.2 L V8 include the following:

2010 F-150 SVT Raptor, 411 hp (306 kW) @ 5500 rpm, 434 lb·ft (588 N·m) @ 4500 rpm
2011 Ford F-Series, 411 hp (306 kW) @ 5500 rpm, 434 lb·ft (588 N·m) @ 4500 rpm
2011 Ford F-Series Super Duty, 385 hp (287 kW) @ 5500 rpm, 405 lb·ft (549 N·m) @ 4500 rpm[4]

You're not going to find an XLT-specific CAI. Any of the ones for the 6.2 Harley's, Limiteds, or Raptors will fit. Stick to one that fits the newer model years though, because I think Volant and maybe others modified their mounting methods for the later years (vs. when the 6.2 was first offered).

Rough Country makes a pretty good winch mount for the F150. Mounts behind the front bumper. CLick the link in my signature for some pics of the install I did for on my truck.

Hi shotguns,

FabFours makes some nice bumpers for our Fords. You can get a full bumper replacement or you can get just the winch mount. You can check it out at this link:
FORD

Good luck, keep us posted on what you decide.

You might want to check if headers for Superduty will fit the F150 Chassis.

Just get any exhaust system you want for F150 and have a shop patch in a bridge between headers and exhaust. Make sure the shop has very good welders so it's not a hack job. A hot rod builder will have better skills than most exhaust/repair shops.

No doubt! My F250 can haul butt if I want it to. I cannot imagine it in an F150!
