Can someone guide me to some places to begin searching for a clutch for an L8000 truck? Thank you!

 

since this is your Very first post I'll help you out.
there are I am sure more than one style/ type of clutch in 87 L8000 trucks.

You will get much better results if you post up
Engine (size?, type?)
Trans (which one? )

Ford even used different clutches depending upon if your 3208 was a NA or turbo'd engine.

With these big trucks, there are many powertrain options so sometimes you have to define it by the slightest of details.

As to a source, any heavy truck shop that wants to help with a medium duty truck, some do not and will only stick to class 8 rigs, or possibly NAPA should be able to help you. NAPA does have a line of medium duty truck parts, Autozone and those types of stores are auto/ Light truck parts only, not medium duty trucks.
