Will the travel trailer battery draw from the truck battery if it's plugged in but the engine is off?

I've already confirmed the travel trailer battery will charge when the truck is running. The reason I ask is because I'm running a small fridge on a power inverter wired to the TT battery. The truck will be charging the TT battery whe we're driving but I want to make sure it won't suck the life out of the starting battery if we stop for an extended rest on the road.

We leave early tomorrow morning so any technical help would be really appreciated!

IIRC, the power to the trailer batt goes off with the key. Easy enough to check with a meter or test light.

 

It should disconnect via the trailer charge relay when the key is turned off

When I made my 1st campout with a newly acquired trailer, little did I know that the converter was broken and left the cable hooked to truck. I woke up to 2 dead batteries.

 

as stated, the factory power to the trailer plug is keyed. I feel like ford was smart with that one.
