TYRES in AUSSIE
G'day Fellas,
I'm not far off needing a full set off rubber.
I want to buy local so what have you jokers purchased here and have been happy with?
I've been running the Toyo Open Country A/T 305 75R 16 'E' and have had a good run out of them.
However I'd like to try something different this time round. I do a lot of outback gravel/rough road running.
Unfortunately Toyo have no immediate plans to bring the A/T2 tread pattern out here (could be 12+ months away).
I'd like to try a 295 75R 16 but they are an odd size and hard to get in Load Rang 'E'.
Has anyone used the Interco M16 in 295 75R 16 'E'. There is a mob in Aussie bringing in Interco, but I've not contacted them for price and availability (more through fear than anything else lol).
The alternative is a 285 75R 16 'E' sizing.
I could go the Toyo Open Country M/T as our State Side buddies seem to sing their praise. But I'm more looking for the 50/50% tread pattern that the newer A/T2 have (a pattern between the A/T and M/T).
Anyone tried the Cooper S/Tmaxx in this size?
Cheers,
Reg.

I used to run Cooper ST/T's and really liked them. I ran them in 285 wide, bit more off road oriented than the Maxx ones you are looking at I think.
I found I wasn't really using them in mud, or anything apart from gravel (very occasionally they would see sand or snow), so replaced them out for Michelin hwy tires (which I like as well).
