Need drop spindles for 52 F1

Looking for drop spindles for my 52 F1, anyone have advice on which ones are of decent quality and where to get them? I would also appreciate any comments on drop axle vs. drop spindles. Thanks!

"Axles by Sid" Dropped Axles , will drop your axle. I don't think anyone makes drop spindles.

Many, many years ago one of the Mags had an article showing how to make dropped spindles using the stock spindles and AMC Pacer spindles

Dick I remember those......looked kinda shaky to me. Would be tough to do and make it work right with all of that leverage on such a small axle boss and kingpin.

Had a friend who ran these for many years on a 40. Worked great. Hard to find them today I bet.

If you want a drop axle, get it from Sid, or send him yours and have him bend it. I've heard several horror stories about the aftermarket axles, from camber and caster problems to things like welds breaking. Sid has been bending these axles forever, and it will be done right. I sent mine to him, and for about $500 (including shipping) he bent the axle, installed new kingpins, and painted everything.

I agree on Sids. I will be buying one from him for a future 40 build.
