Fuel gauge on a 2011

I just bought a 2011 cc sb king ranch I'm pretty sure my fuel gauge is off along with my DTE. I reset the DTE and trip calc pages on my last full up. The fuel used says 20.2 and miles driven is 340 which adds up with the 16.9 mpgs, but my DTE is saying that I only have 36 miles to E. I should have almost 100 miles to E. does on one know how to adjust the gauge to show actual DTE and fuel left.

Thanks
Scott

Run the mte down to zero and you should put in about 24 gallons when you fill up. Maybe 24.5 at the most.

The most I've fit in mine when it's said "0" miles left is 23 gals.........so that leaves a reserve of 3 gals in the tank....basically another 50 miles untill you "really" run out of fuel.

I've got the long bed, But when I run mine down to 0 miles. I needed 37.5 gallons to fill. So it had no reserve in my truck. In fact I had pulled off the freeway and into a one station small town. I was sitting waiting to pull up to the pump and my truck ran out of fuel. So I know my DTE was really 0. I had to get a car load of scouts to help push me the last 15 feet to the pump and go through about 10 KoKo to get restarted after filling up.

ok so i filled up this morning with 17 miles DTE my fuel calc said 22.1 used. i put 22.6 gal in the tank. i would have tested and pulled into a diesel station right at 0 DTE but i was headin in to an area that didn't have any diesel stations. But i still had about 3.5 gal left so im assuming that the DTE has a built in reserve, which is in improvement on the 08 DTE that will run out with 5-10 DTE.

ill keep yall posted on my next fill up planning on going till it says 0 DTE.

Scott
