My new 66

My new 66
Hey ya'll.
I'm picking up a 66 this week. All OG, unmolested. Just missing the radio delete plate, and needing a patch on the Passenger door.
Question I have is, the whole length of the door, is pretty much split, and it looks like it's going to require basically the bottom 1/4 of the door be patched.
So, is it better to find a donor door, or just create a patch out of sheet-metal ? Seems to me these doors all do this (as are most 60's autos with the tapered lower door sheet metal.)
Or is there a decent source, for replacement doors ? Any well known F100 chop chops out there ? Well frequented parts yards ?
Last thing. What's the most common / accepted Disc brake conversion for these trucks ?
Thanks,
Pics to follow.

No repops that I am aware of, I would look for a replacement. Why don't you post your location to see if someone sees it and may know of one close by.
For your upgrade, buy a 73-76 F100 donor for V8 FE 352 engine or 73-79 for I-6, all parts are direct bolthole exchange. I purchase a 76 FE 360 C6 auto tranny for my 66.
When you buy one you don't miss any parts. Sell the left over for scrap and sometimes your upgrade can be -0- in cost, mine was.

No such thing as a radio delete plate. Plain jane no pushbutton AM radio (all that was available 1961/66) required 3 small holes (O o O) to be punched out (factory installed) or drilled out (dealer installed) in dash.
The separate chassis mounted behind the dash, its shafts passed thru outer holes, then bezel screwed to front of dash. Center hole for dial lamp bulb, if no radio, no holes.
Antenna mounts on right (passenger) side of cowl panel. 1961/63 radio has tubes, 1964/66 has transistors. 1966/77 Bronco's used the same radio (see pic), but a different speaker arrangement and antenna.
My guess is, it has been molested, because someone cut a rectangular hole in the dash to install an aftermarket radio, a somewhat common occurrence.
The doors are the same 1961/66 F100/1100 (except 1961/63 F100/250 Uni) and 1967/69 F800/1000. Uni's have a straight thru scallop line while the others have a 'dogleg' scallop line.
