Need to get driveshaft off now!
Need to remove the driveshaft from the wife's F150. Obviously I've removed the four bolts (and marked the position of the driveshaft). I read in another post before that he had to use a floor jack to pop it loose. So I tried that and started lifting the back tires off the ground. Driveshaft won't budge! Any help?! Thanks!

This was my second unsuccessful attempt at removing the driveshaft. After the first unsuccessful time, I went to the forums and read about using a floor jack to pop it loose. Tried that last night and still could not get it removed. Only had about a half an hour before I lost daylight, so not much time to mess with it. Sprayed it down with penetrating lubricant (did that the first time too) and went back to work on it this morning. Gave it a few whacks with a mallet (not on the driveshaft) and then took a pry bar to it. Finally came off! This isn't my first time removing a driveshaft (been a long time though) but never had such a difficult time.

Drive Shaft removal
You don't say but I'm assuming you're trying to take the drive shaft off the differential. I have not had to deal with this in years, but I did have one once that wouldn't come out. Friend showed me a trick that worked. Loosened the bolts on the straps that held the u-joint onto the pinion maybe a half turn each. Started the engine and put the tranny in gear and rocked it forward and backwards 3 or 4 times. Shut it down and checked, the U-Joint came out of the pinion without any issues and was able to remove the driveshaft without any further problems.
Good luck, hope it helps and be safe.
