Early 99' 7.3L start problem.............HELP!!!!!!!!!

So heres the deal......Have had truck for 3 years now never had any problems besides hard starts when cold out. Last winter I put in all 8 glow plugs and new GPR. That fixed it. At the end of March I took my truck into the shop to get repainted. Its pretty much been sitting since then, with occasional starts to move it. Wile the bed was off I did the Hutch mod to it and installed a inline fuel filter before the fuel pump. After that it still started fine. It set for about another 2 weeks. Went down to start it and it cranked for about 10 sec before starting, and has continued to do so since then. So far I have put in new battery's, Alt, checked GP's and GPR all working. Starter doesnt sound week spin at a good speed. Checked HPOP oil level, it was full. Fuel pressure at the head its 50psi which seens a little low to me but not to bad. I have run out of ideas, I need you guys help!!!!

Have you verified system voltage is at least 10-10.5 volts while cranking? They will spin fast even with low volts. Are you getting any smoke out the exhaust while cranking?

Do you have a way to monitor ICP while cranking?

Has it been on the road since the Hutch mod and sitting for 2 or 3 months? What kind of inline filter?

Hooked the truck up to the scanner today showed 12.2volts not running. Wile cranking the rpm was around 400. The ICP(psi) stayed at 0 for about 8 sec then jumped up to around 700 and the truck started. The duty cycle climbs to 80% before the psi starts to climb also.

My truck just started doing the same thing today. Started fine last weekend and today it cranked for bit then started, hot or cold starts are the same now. 99 with 216,000.

How old is the oil? One quick check, unplug the ICP sensor, try to start it, and monitor the icp and duty cycle. also see if the ICP plug is wet.

This is what happens when there is a lot of air in the oil (I replaced cups before this vid).

Thanks guys, I will check into these items tonight, The oil is just over 3000 miles now. I replaced the cups, injectors, injector harness, v cover gaskets, and gplugs a few years ago, I read on another thread that one guy had a hpop line work loose under the valve cover that was allowing the oil to drain out of the pump along with bad injector orings. I thought there was only oil passages in the head under theh v covers? I never noticed any oil lines when I was in there. if the icp checks good i will dig a little deeper. I have about 20,000 miles on these injectors so I think I can rule out injector o-rings. I will post updates when I get this resolved.

You are correct about the oil channel being part of the head - no lines in there. I'm unsure of what you read.
