I'm the odd one, I LIKE the wheels! First mags I've seen that look like they belong in the era. Just depends if you are going for an OEM restored look or a resto-rod. You can always do a Toyota power steering conversion so you wife doesn't end up with wrestlers arms and it doesn't do the drunken monkey (worn OEM steering box wobble) down the road. It's an easy weekend install that works like it's what should have been in there.

PS: LOVE the Wizzer!

Hello and another welcome to the forum! I was off-line most of the weekend & missed this one!

Nice looking truck...and Fairlane!! I also like the wheels....not as much as I like steel wheels with baby moons, but they look good....maybe they'll grow on you after a while.

The Y in the 56 is tough. When I went through it a couple years ago I found the crank had never been touched and I didn't' need to do anything to it either. The cylinders had been bored .030 over at some point. Has been very reliable ever since, I've got about 5000 miles since the rebuild.

That's the nice thing about having a truck we can drive as is, gives us plenty of time to decide what direction we are going to take with it. Wife does well with the steering now that we have narrower tires on it. She is a pretty tough gal, that's why I didn't argue when she said it was hers .

Yes the Whizzer is a blast, gives me the biggest grin ever.

Thanks, steel wheels are in it's future but the wheels on it could definitely be worse
