What about an oil cooler?

I realize that an intercooler will give me more HP but for now, I want to avoid all that work. So I was wondering, what about cooling the oil before it goes into my blower? I have removed my A/C radiator and have a lot of room. It would only take me a small amount of time and not a lot of $$ if I were to put an oil cooling system in but is it worth it? Can I cool the oil enough before it goes into the blower to reduce the heat of the blower resulting in cooler air into the motor? I bet most of the heat in the blower is from the oil coming from in the motor.

Thoughts anyone?

You would remove some small part of the heat introduced under compression, but IMO not enough to make a significant difference.

I think it would help with the longevity of the life of the blower, but will only have a minimal effect on the air charge temps, so very little power gains.

If you looking for charge cooling without a lot of work then water/methanol injection might be a good option for you.

I would bet the oil temp has very little to do with air temp coming from the blower. Compressing the air causes more heat then the oil in the bearings.
