Hello All,

I am trying to figure a few things out about my truck and cannot seem to find a vin decoder that will give me answers...

2002 5.4 v8 Regular cab automatic, 8 ft bed, manual hubs and manual on the floor 4x4

Vin#:

1FTSF31L12EA91934

The door jamb sticker is worn and I can only make out Axl: D2 / TR: E / SPR: XB

From what I gather I have 4:10 with limited slip gearing?

Neither of those things worked. The Vin decoder here is not working, the link to that site is not working...?

Ooops. Try FordEtis home page I did it from memory last night and got it wrong.

Click on the "Vehicle" tab.

 

it works. just click run your mouse over your vin and it is show decode vin. Just click on it.

 

senix, I have tried ten times, it does not work.

No VIN of any year contains the TRANS or AXLE code, it's listed separately on Certification Label (1980 to date), Warranty Plate (1961/79), Rating Plate (1948/60).

I cannot decode 2002 and later cuz my parts catalogs end in 2001.

The vin decoder on this site just will not work for me lol It goes into freeze, maybe it is the mozilla browser?

It appears that I do have the 4:10 gears (the door jamb sticker D2 also decodes to 4.10 limited slip) as well as heavier springs on the rear. I dont do it on purpose, and I drive very grandpa like staying below 2k rpm mostly, but in any sort of wet weather Im spinning my stock sized 265/75r16 E rated Firestone Trans force AT at every stoplight. I dont see where the underpowered complaints come from on the 5.4l v8, but i dont really tow only materials in the bed sometimes.

It is a kentucy built car as far as the other things I can decipher. Is late in the year build a good thing?
