Quick question: How tall is a SCLB 4x4?

I am looking at building a carport and I want to be able to fit a 4x4 under it (once I do my conversion).

Any one have a clearance measurement for a stock Supercab Long bed 4x4? I found online in sever places that listed 74 inches but they also listed 74 inches for the 2wd truck so that can't be right...

My CCSB 4x4 will BARELY fit in a 6' 8" parking garage. I don't know exact height, but I wouldn't be comfortable with any roof less than 7 ft if given the choice.

74" sounds about right. I went outside and tried to measure my truck. I came up with 74" as a good guesstimate, due to the cab roof curvature. 76" would be better. I, too, would feel better if I had a 7' garage. As she sits, my truck doesn't fit, length-wise, in my garage and to get her in there, I had to air down the tires.

I haven't added a lift, but she has the factory Off-Road Package suspension, which appears to be higher than other similar models. 74" is a very good estimate on my truck, as I stated previously.

I am running Goodyear Wrangler LT265/75R16 M&S tires on the factory wheels, if that helps.

'95 ECLB, stock height, stock 235/85R16s, measured through the beer window from the center of the cab roof to the ground, 76". Def. want to go 7' at least, to give you wiggle room for any plans for a lift, tires, etc.

There you go...the beer window knows best. Both tanks are full of fuel and I measured from the driver side to obtain my guesstimate. Turns out my 74" - 76" guesstimate was close. Too close for comfort, though.

Thanks for the better measurement info, madpoque.

my stock suspension X code spring 02 truck on 265 tires will just hit a full open 7 foot door.
i would say go at least 8 or 9 foot opening.

agreed, i wouldnt split hairs over an inch, you're building it right?? just give plenty of room, what if you ever put a lumber rack or canopy or..... when i build my garage it's gonna have 10' doors on it.. good selling factor and no worries about pulling in with a rack or a load..
just my few pennies...

that is what i did with mine, a 10 foot door. the top of the light bar on my 88 is 9' 2"

so i made the garage to fit that truck back in 95.
it has served me well over the years being high enough to fit the F-750 in a few times in inclement weather for plow repairs.
