A question for anybody from a cold winter climate area, what is the best snow tire that will fit on the 18" lariat rims? I use Bridgestone Blizzaks on my F-150 at the moment, but I don't think I can get them for the SD.

I got the Goodyear Duratrac's this last winter. Great tire in the snow and wet pavement. They are not load and look good too. They do come in E rating too.
I'm running GoodYear UltraGrips on my OE 18" wheels fr winter. They're great

I had Nokia Hakkapellita's on my old truck (2000 Chev C3500 Dually). They are great snow-tires and I think I will try to get them for my F-250. I think KAL Tire has the exclusive for them in Ontario.

Toyo makes the right size and load rating in a couple of different tread patterns. I just let my tire guy pick for me - never been disappointed. Good snow grip, quiet on dry pavement and seem to last - at least so far.
I'll throw in another vote for Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Have on my 2012 F250 and love them for snow and mud. They offer some decent icy traction also, and come drilled for studs. I'm thinking of getting a factory sized set for next winter and studding them.
