I recently upgraded my stock headlights to HIDs. I had to unplug the negative side of the battery since i was dealing with electrical wires. I noticed that after hooking the battery back up, when i turned my truck on, the CD player read "initializing". it sounded like the CD changer was rotating between the disks but then went blank. I tried to play a CD or eject one but there was no response. Now everytime i open the door to get in and out, the CD player sounds like its rotating but i cant play or eject CDs. im worried that the CD player is automatically rotating thus draining my battery. Anybody know what my problem is? sounds like it should be an easy fix but im stumped on this one.

Try pressing the CD eject button, and holding it in for a few seconds. That should force the radio to eject all CDs loaded.

 

It sounds like your radio went south. Mine started doing the same thing and I found a stock one online for about $50 that somebody upgraded from and replaced it.
