Yes there are. We have the Shiras Moose here. Second largest in North American. There are three main areas with moose populations. These populations are big enough that an annual hunt (by special drawing for residents and non-residents) has been going on since I arrived in ID in Jan 1996.
I've never drawn, but I haven't been able to put in for the drawing every year either. One of these years I'll get to one around the mountains.
Are you a moose hunter? I can have the moose hunting (and other trophy species) regulations sent to you, if you like. I can also send the "regular" hunting regulations and fishing regulations if you'd like to see those.
If you prefer, I can post the Idaho Fish and Game website, for your reading pleasure.

Good afternoon Clint, and everyone else, too.
Clint, you should be able to see some moose in Maine. Vermont Fish and Wildlife. Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Good luck.

Pretty good. I found the problem with my A/C leak. It's a $0.67 o-ring. There's four in the system on my truck. I ordered all four, so hopefully I'll have the A/C fixed and working by this weekend.
I'm really getting busy with my online course at Boise State University. Spent too much time messing around with the truck A/C problem and other things. Now I've lost two days of studying. I have to read two more chapters, take a quiz on those two chapters, and take an exam on the first four chapters. This has to be completed before midnight this Friday. And...because I'm on unemployment still, I have to submit at least two job applications each week in order to continue receiving benefits.
I guess I'll sleep this weekend before I repair the truck.
