39+ HP (93 octane) is pretty impressive. I think what shocks me the most is that the noticeable gains are all above 4K RPMs. Sounds as if the 5.0L needs to be wound up before it'll start to really put it down. I'm not complaining, just an observation, as it appears that the curves through the normal range of driving around 3K RPMs on a daily basis dont show massive variances.

Regardless, a jump from 280ish on 87 in stock form to around 335ish on a 93 tune, at THE WHEELS, is pretty damn impressive. Nice work guys!

I think I have found my tune- Interesting the dyno results on a stock tune and 87 vs. 93 octane. That confirms what many believe- there is a power difference stock when using higher octane.

Fineally...After years of being told I was crazy for putting premium in my trucks, This validates it!

So I'm gaining roughly 10hp out of my 2011 F-150 5.0L just by using premium fuel alone, good to know!

my only issue with these tuners is, just how much power does someone need to reach a max speed of 98 miles per hour. since that is what these trucks are limited to? or do these tuners turn the speed limiter off? because to me if the tuners don't turn the limiters off then it just seems like a waste of cash for the tune, unless you want the added power for towing and hauling. at which point you should also upgrade the brakes as well.

I would like to see the same dyno run on E85. My truck "feels" notably more powerful on that stuff. I personally cannot tell a difference in my 2011, 5.0L going say from 87 octane to 91 (91 is the highest we get in CA)

But running E85 I can feel a very noticeable gain, and more grunt off the line.

Speed limiter was disabled as well. Definitely hit at least 112mph on the dyno.

In due time, our Ecoboost video will be ready as well. This 5.0 video is only the beginning.

You can set the tuner to disable the speed limiter. Mine has been 125+ a time or 2. Of course without harm to others.

wow that's really pushing your luck if you're still running the factory driveshaft. since they are only rated for 95 or 98 mph. hence the reason for such a low speed limiter.

Can you post a source for that info? Quite curious that the mph limiter would be set so close to design spec of driveshaft. Thanks
