FALL GTG thread and POLL

Here is what I would like to find out here. As far as planning a date, September was mentioned and I will use the weekend of the 21st. If this is too much of a conflict we can see about changing it for a larger group to make it.

I am also thinking something a little further north?

I don't have a problem driving 3-4 hours for a camping GTG. Far as places not already mentioned Higgins lake area would be nice as well, Andrew could use his floating camper too at the south state park.

North Higgins Lake State Park is nice. Not sure about festivals going on around that time frame. Might be good to be in an area that has one going on to allow for some side activities.

If we do Higgins lake it will take about as much arm twisting to get brother and his boat to come up as it does Mike to have a beer.

Higgins lake would be cool. Again it all depends on dates and if I'm able to get the time off.

You'd like the south park then, has a lagoon for boat parking and launch area. I believe you can also pay to just camp at the lagoon as well ( included with normal campsite) but no where to plug in.

firemans memorial in Roscommon is that weekend, FYI. we always used to camp at north Higgins for that (and was usually pretty full). it's been years though, so i'm not sure if things have changed.

I don't camp. I sleep comfortably in a luxury RV.
