It would be interesting to know what times and speed the quick 8 did compared to what the FE's are doing here on the West Coast. A 9.16 is really stout, and not sure who has a car with an FE out here that could do a 9.16
There are a couple of blown 427 sohc cars in the LA area, that are in the 1,800 hp area, but they are in dragsters.
