Very cool!
I can hear the conversation. "Look Hon, is that some rusty metal way over there? Let's go look." She gives you "that look" shakes her head and says "Sure."

Of course in my family then the kids and I would look at each other and someone would say "Race ya!"

Bucyrus - previously Bucyrus-Erie - now part of Caterpillar. A local big-iron manufacturer of mining equipment literally across town from one of their largest competitors - Joy Global (previously Harnishfeger).

This history lesson was brought to you by the letter 'F'.

Let me guess... the kid on top of the F5 is the owner of this "collection" and he won't sell because he's planning on restoring all of it some day!

Thanks for taking us along. Great pics!

What kind of snake is that? I'm sure you always have to be on the lookout when scouting the old iron. Not as dangerous around here. I've had my eye on an old 51-52 F6 grain truck in a yard around here and when I went to look in the cab I didn't make the big orange cat living there very happy!

I was thinking the same exact thing.

Of course, as kids we would want to see if we could tip over that school bus down the hill. You know, get some logs and rocks and make leverage bars. There she goes!!.....Bonk, bonk, crash, flip, bonk, tumble....crash!
Maybe it looks closer to the edge that what it really is....but hell at my age I'd still try it!!!!
