Tire talk
#16
Rob, my apologies for the late response...I have been running like crazy since we last talked. The calendars can be ordered in qty. 10, then the next option is qty. 50, with the padded envelopes and shipping costs (vendor to me, then to you), they run about 10-12 bucks to cover costs. I will be happy to do this again for everyone, but would like to know how much interest there would be (so I can order the right amount) in this. I also will need the photos and permission from those who have taken them.....also as suggested from the Truckstock calendars, would be nice to add captions to identify who's truck's they are, we would only want to use the usernames as to keep the privacy thing. It only takes a week or so to get it done, so let me know. Any one that has photos and would like to share them, you can email them to me (or there location i.e Picasa, etc.) along with permission and I will get started, just pm me an I will get you my email address.
Thanks,
w

Not to change the subject, but you should look at 255 85 16s. They are as narrow as the others mentioned, but 33-34" tall. I run them on my '59 f350 and my '92. My nephew worked in a tire shop for 13 years and when he heard I was running 255s on my dually, he said they will touch and get hot in the summer and blow out. Later, when he saw them he said something like"dang those are really narrow, you won't have a problem with those". Anyhow, I get mine from Les Schwab tire centers here on the left coast, but lots of manufacturers make them, just not as common as the 235s. To quote Bob Seeger, you'll be sittn' "way up firm and high"......
