u dont need diff. bolts for aluminum intakes do you? such as on heads?

 

I use stainless steel on everything that goes into aluminum and also use anti-seize. Steel into aluminum is cheap but a No No. I also use Stainless on all bolts exposed to coolant like the thermostat housing.

 

I'd stay away from chrome. They may gall. Anti sieze is always a good idea.

I bought pretty ones from Summitracing - they are steel, but have real purty heads on them; just makes it look better. Like the wire looms I have on the 460 - not really a "have-to", but sure impresses the gurlz at the local soda shop when I pop the hood......

 

Also, it's a good idea to use plain flat washers under the bolts to prevent chewing up the manifold surface as you tighten them. Use the same material as your bolts.
