Backup Sensors and AE

Backup Sensors and AE
Can the AE be used to determine problems with the backup sensors? My sensors don't work and my AE does not throw any codes. Is there a way I can direct the AE to monitor individual sensors like I can monitor lets say absolute maniford pressure or baro pressure? I've got a good idea which sensor it is by the "click" test but I was hoping that the AE would verify this. Thanks

You should be able to select systems (park aid) go to 2graph or 4graph use the drop down box and see what it offers.
Now my curiosity is peaked?

glad you curosity is peaked, mine is too. Going to try tomorrow. I have always selected all DTCs and have gotten 400+ responses. But my AE has not shown a code tripped by the PCM. Maybe not enough "hits" by the reverse sensor. Going to try your advice "select systems (park aid) go to 2graph or 4graph". I like the AE. Would like to know if it can do more than engine stuff. Thanks. Appreciate the post.

Did you get the Ford bundle w/ AE? Those would be Ford specific codes so the generic AE wouldn't be able to read them. Ford-family (EI01) It can read them though - pretty sure it's called the Park Aid Module.

I do have the Ford Enhanced Bundle. Checked in help.
What I was doing wrong was not picking the "Park Assist" system when I connected. Also I need to choose "current" form the DTCs. If I picked "all" the bad sensor would not show. Thanks for your help Edogsf350. Learned something new about AE. I thought "All" DTCs in AE would show all but apparently not. Once I located the Park Assist sensors, I could monitor them.

I resurrecting this thread because it is to the point of the thread I would have just started.
I have the Ford Enhanced bundle also. But if I choose Parking Aid I get an error that says it is not able to do that (don't remember the exact words).
There is nothing useful in the manual about hooking up to my 2002, F350, 7.3 Powerstroke. What settings should I use? If I try Auto Detect it will not connect to the vehicle. Somewhere in this Forum there is talk about it, but a search turns up so much that you can't read it all in one year.
I guess what I need is the Vehicle Interface Type.
One of the diagnostics given on ALLdatadiy.com for the DTC B1352 is go into active command mode and select chime on. When I bought AE I was under the impression I woould be able to do things like that. But I guess not. There is no Active Mode. But I would at least like to monitor things.

i never tryed to use active comands in park aid. ive only used AE to read the DTC
and repair. so what your saying is it wont connect to your park aid module?
try searching for a thread called AE class is now in session from a member named (Tugly)
he went in depth on using AE but it was for engine diagnostics. but he did cover
connecting issues.
