Got the bed off, after cutting 3 bolts lol a buddy says he has a bed off his parts truck I can have for $200 if it's clean enough.
Yellow bed is off a 73 explorer another kid in class is working on, is that not the dream team in the shop or what? Mustang, bronco, and dentside lol 3 of my all time favorites
Cleaned up and treated my frame, going to pull the tank next week to clean up the back of the frame, and to cut off the welded bumper brackets and off center gooseneck.
Nice work on the truck. Is that a high school shop class? If so, I'm jealous. All the kids had a couple years ago when I was in school were rust bucket '90s vehicles. Never had any classic project cars, except my model A pickup box.

No it's a college shop, but we have highschoolers come in on concurrent credit courses too.
Lookin good! that's a strange rear bumper. I've never seen one like it.
Thanks, and I've only seen one other one like it. It had diamond plate bolted across the top to step on, I hated how low it sat in regards to the body. I'll probably grab one out of LMC with the reverse light cut outs in it.
Mine was like this, but chrome. Not very attractive.

Yeah, no offense, but I don't care for it either. Glad to hear your going to get a pretty new one. They look good with the reverse lights in them too.
Cleaned my tank up and put it back in the truck, going to pick up a new sending unit in the morning and throw it in, hopefully that gets my gauge working again.
