going to rebuild a turbo for the dually and was wondering if anyone has tried this or is it worth it ?
if not what wheel should I get a obs or nbs .
the one in it had 9 fins and the other one has 5 long an 5 short. guessing 5an5 is obs.

If that is the brand new thing diesel site came up with then I have heard positives about that. Otherwise, people who are installing a "wicked wheel" are throwing money away, on these obs's. OBS already have them from the factory. The real benefits appear when the OBS "wicked wheel" (really a stock wheel) is installed in a SD because they have the notorious surging issue.

If you have stock injectors you could run a smaller AR housing and get faster/lower rpm spool. But if you are going stage 1's or larger, it will rise egts quickly. In this situation it is best to keep the turbo stock.

Diesel site didn't come up with it.

Multiple vendors selling it.

You can order the same wheel from clay and other vendors online.

That one is the #2 version.

"Wicked Wheel® is a registered trademark of Bob Riley and DIESELSITE, INC. All rights reserved. Any intent to mislead or confuse customers by using our name or mark is a violation of trademark infringement and will be enforced."

"We are letting people know, due to some confusion out there, that this wheel is not available anywhere else. It is made specifically to Bobs specs and design and will only be available through us or our registered dealers. There are many billet wheels on the market already so we engraved ours with Wicked Wheel® so that customers can be sure they're purchasing our wheel (with our testing, design, and specs) and not just any billet wheel."

The first wicked wheel is just an OBS compressor wheel, or equivalent. This new one doesn't appear to be the case, at least according to what I see now.

He also claims the wicked wheel is an upgrade for the GTP38, when its a downgrade.

And lies to you about other things on his site.

The wicked wheel is a marketing ploy, just like the new wheel is.

Those who want to fap with bob riley hang out on PSN.

I'm just reiterating what I have heard/seen.

They won't do you any good, IMHO. SD's already have issues with surging so they use OBS compressor wheels.

If you want a better turbo get yourself a different turbo housing like a 1.00 or 0.84 AR. It will spool up faster, (as in lower RPM).

Contact CCarrier. He is running an SD wheel in an OBS turbo... See how he likes it. I never heard how he was liking it, but I'm sure it runs great with the larger exhaust housings we have.

William.. Enough with the Bob Riley rants already... I'm pretty sure we are all aware of the pissing matches you have with Bob and the beef you have against his HPOPs and crap.. The WWG2 has been tested and everyone I've talked to are seeing increased boost pressure while drive pressure stayed the same, therefore boost to drive ratios are improved.. That will help the turbo last longer with stage 1s and 2's.

How often does someone pull the intake tube of the compressor housing and look at the wheel though?

nrhx2009. That's Barder Turbo Service. Good seller. He also has a 66mm upgrade for our turbos.

What you just bought is a stock compressor wheel for our trucks though. Nothing upgraded about that wheel for us.

Yeah figured that but need to get it back together. And don't really need more power than what it's got now so I should be fine. I don't like it sitting around.

Thanks guy's
