I have an 03 F350 with the 6.0, has 210,000 miles on it and is used to tow horse, hay, other vehicles, 5th wheel and lots of other stuff multiple times a week. It started to die after being ran a while, and it never threw a code in the computer. Took it to Ford and they diagnosed the problem as the high pressure oil pump. We have changed the pump, stand pipes, seals, all the tubing, and both sensors. It still wont restart after the engine has been warmed up and shut down. what else could be causing it to not restart? I am at a total loss on what the problem could be. Its getting frustrating but the truck has been a great truck and has done better by far than the 02 7.3 that I had. Bought the truck with 60,000 on it. Any help would be so great as I have several horse competitions coming up and need the truck.

 

Do you have any gauges that read live data like scan gauge II or the smartphone app dashboss for IOS devices? They are absolutely necessary in diagnosing these trucks.

 

It wasn't too long ago somebody had a FICM that would act up when hot. Super rare it seems, but a possibility.

One would have to assume with all new parts Nd the same issue either it's electrical or the branch tube is fubar'd

We have changed all of the high pressure oil tubing, and we changed the ficm when it started having trouble.

 

There are a few possibilities, but we will need more info, especially ICP when cranking.
