I'm going to swap a 4.0 out of a 92 explorer. The explorer is all auto 4x4 and the bronco is standard. The question I have is will the ecu out of the 92 work being I'm bolting up to a manual trans or do I have to get an ecu out of a manual rig?

 

When I was swapping 5.0s in Mustangs, you could use an auto ECU in a manual situation, but not the reverse. So I would guess , yes you can.
