my main bearings are knocking but i dont have the money to replace them, is there anything that would be a good temporary fix, im kinda hoping there will be so i can restore oil pressure.

Not really. If you keep driving with bad main bearings say goodbye to your crank as well.

it can be fixed for the price of the tow back home. $75 for a crank and $50 for a gasket set, $30 worth of bearings and a $20 oil pump.

i'd try my luck w/ a pull out motor on craigslist. mains usually only knock for long enough to identify its a spun bearing.

And an engine hoist... I would try a used engine. Happen to have a Pick-n-Pull near you? All parts are half off till tomorrow.

$200 roughly... If its been like that for over a year, expect a lot more then just bearings when you do rebuild it...
