I agree. It's a template showing the dimensions, but you would think it would be an actual size one.

 

You could come over to my place and make a template from my dash if you want

Who did the conversion on your radio?

Do you know what the differences are between the 56 and the previous years?

 

Well, maybe my radio was not from a 54. I had to do all kinds of adjustments to the brackets to make it work, but I got it installed. Pics to follow.

I can't believe it but i bought a very nice 56 radio locally recently at a great price. It came from an Australian 56 truck, very rare in Australia to have had a factory radio fitted when new, must have been a wealthy farmer or something.

Does anyone have a "spare" chrome trim ring they might consider parting with, the one that goes on the dash and is always missing.
