Broken connecting rod bolt 5.0

Hi guys so I was putting the bottom end of my engine together and my book said to torque the connecting rod bolts to 45, and all but one did , the one bolt snapped , I just ordered two bolts from summit , they are arp , can I just punch out the broken bolt from the rod and install the new one myself ? Or is this another trip to the machine shop ..

Thanks !

When reassembling a engine, new bolts are a must.
Think of them as gaskets....

The rod bolts need to be pressed in/out and that process often distorts the rod so the rod/cap assembly needs to be checked for roundness and corrected if necessary after the new bolts are in.. so you're looking at a trip to the machinist.
