ac on a 223 engine

Why won't the 233 engine handle AC, I've read this on many web sites but it never said why.Because it has not enough power or there is no way to mount it Thanks

My 1.6L Miata has ac, but it is pokey when it's on. Still worth having though on really hot days. I shut if off if I need to accelerate hard, then turn it back on. AFA brackets, Alan Grove may make them. Worth a look.

Here is his FTE page: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Profile: old broke prospector

Here is his thread on the install: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-pictures.html

Search works on user names the same as it works on subjects.

I put A/C on the 215 in my 53 sedan using a Sanden compressor. My problem wasn't pulling power, it was the air flow restriction added by the modern hi efficiency condenser in front of the radiator. This should not be a problem with the much larger truck radiator.
