Gutless 2005 Ford F150 5.4

Hey guys
Last fall I bought a used 05 F150 crew cab with a 5.4. It is gutless. It is so bad that when i try and do a break stand to test for a brake torque test to try and get some codes i can put the accelerator all the way to the floor and it will NOT break the tires lose.

I have done:
a tune up with new plugs and fuel filter
Check the Catalytic converts
Replaced the fuel pressure control module
Cleaned the MAF sensor.

I am not getting any engine codes but plan to take it in again soon to have it rechecked. EDIT: forgot to add im getting 12 mpg :-(

Any suggestions? I heard from a friend something about the syncos on the cam shaft but didnt understand.

Thanks

PS i also posted this under the motor section but feel it would be better seen here.

my brother has a 2006 F150 ext cab short bed with the 5.4 and 3.73 gears thats bone stock and it will lay dual smokey burnouts like theres no tomorrow, my girlfriends brother has a 2004 F150 supercrew with the 5.4 but it only has the 3.55 gears and even with larger 33's his truck can lay a decent lines on the street. The day before i had my new tires installed i sent the old ones out in a blaze of smoke on my 5.4 powered F350 in my sig and for never doing it before on this truck i layed lines all down my street.

Mine is a four door short box with 193k on it. All stock with stock sized A/T tires on it. Ordered a predator programmer and cold air intake for it last week.

Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so. The tranny learns your driving/style and the disconnected battery will erase the old and be ready to learn the new driving style. Then go out and hammer on it!!

I think I'll lurk around this thread. My 2005 F150 supercrew 4x4 has been feeling a bit lethargic lately. Probably wouldn't hurt to do new plugs, but I'd like some second and third opinions before I get someone to break a bunch of them off . . .
