I think you can see in my sig, I have a 93 Dutchman that I had to rebuild the back and slide area from water damage. But it's been a great trailer and the best part-NO PAYMENTS!! As someone said above, the older trailers seem to be built better and last longer. They don't have as many frills, but I would rather be outside anyway.

Mudfuel,

I would still have that 96 if it had some sliders. It was just way to cramped for the family.

I built a 20' flatbed gooseneck to go with my 7.3-converted 69 F250. Here it is severely stuck in my yard with a 6500lb generator on it:

Making the Courier look really small:

And with a fairly light load on it:

Amen! Even before we had a kid, the one trailer (Shasta) we had that didn't have slides was way too cramped for us. Our next trailer will have at least two slides.

Amazing how that is, isn't it ?!?

What was fine years ago is now too small - I ran into that @ will rogers auditorium on saturday - it was built in the 30's iirc and people's hips MUST have been much smaller - everyone had to squeeze into those tight little chairs and had 'dent' lines from the chair arm supports !

Same goes with our rv's - my one room tent has grown substantially to 4 slides on a 38 footer now

We pull this 28' (35' overall) ToyHauler that runs between 9-11k. I hear you on being cramped without slides, this unit has the separate 12' garage so it only has about 17' or so of camper space with no slide, cozy! For camping trips my son and his buddies unload the toys and turn the garage into their mancave.
